Story

Remember the days when great-tasting food was made-to-order with quality ingredients and always served up with a frosty mug and a warm smile? Well, those days have never left at your favorite A&W Restaurant. We still make our burgers, hots dogs, french fries, onion rings and, of course, our famous A&W Root Beer the way you like it, the way you remember. This place was a true treat in every way! The atmosphere was pure nostalgia, the experience was great. First of all, you could choose to park and go in to sit down and eat, or you could park in the 'drive-up' side and they would bring your food to your car, like the good old days. We chose to get the food in our car and it was wonderful. The food cane out quickly and was fresh and hot. I had the grilled chicken breast sandwich and it was perfectly cooked and juicy, not dried out. I had cheese curds as a side instead of fries. I must say that being a lover of food, aka a 'foodie', these were the best I've ever had. First, they were battered and not breaded. The batter tasted like a buttermilk recipe. They were a light batter, not heavy. They had just the right crunch and the curds were hot and melty: definitely in the 'wow' zone. My wife had the fish sandwich and she said it was good. She also had the onion rings, which were battered, not breaded and the onions were not slimy and yucky, they were fresh, hot and had a good crunch to them. The root beer is what they are famous for and they did live up to their reputation and then some. It tastes very different and much better than the same brand canned or in a 2 liter bottle that you can buy in the store.

I ordered a fish and chips dinner (average) with a root beer cooler (tasty as usual). Quick, happy order takers. Five-star review for the ability to take it to beach :P

A nice place I've enjoyed for years! Fun atmosphere and good food friendly staff! If I could offer one small item to improve on the service gets overly slow when it's busy.

Love the nostalgia, but some of the food is salty. The rootbeer floats and blended floats are awesome! It is usually overcrowded during the summer, so it was nice to go in during off season!

Up north tradition for our family. Best root beer floats around! Service was very fast and friendly. The food was pretty standard fast food fate, but they aren't claiming to be anything more than that.
