Worst customer service experience ever. I ordered 4 shirts. 2 of which were in stock. 3 weeks after payment was made, still no shirts. I called Jackie, their ‘customer service manager’, each week, and was assured each week that they would ship on Friday. Then I would call the next Wednesday only to hear ‘sorry they will ship this Friday’. After 3 weeks of this I gave up and said I’d like a refund. I was told they have a new system and didn’t know how to process a refund. So I couldn’t get shirts, AND I couldn’t get my money back. Insane. I had to have my bank dispute the charge. Initial order was on 20Sep2022. I finally just got my refund today, 17Nov2022. This company is a joke. Mind you… I live in Denver where the company is based, and they still couldn’t get me my shirts. Jackie’s recommendation was for me to pack up my 2 little boys, drive 45 minutes there, unpack them, pick up my shirts, pack my boys back up, and drive 45 minutes home… all because they don’t know how to put shirts in a box, slap a label on it, and run it to the post office. I ordered from Flight Uniform Shirts. Amazing product, better price, and it was delivered in 4 days from order. What an amazing thought. People pay for a product, and you deliver a product. Genius.
This place is amazing! We went to their store in Louisville, CO. The customer service was amazing and even without my husband there they helped me choose the perfect fit! The clothes are super comfortable. We will definitely use them for all his pilot needs!
Great selection of quality products at reasonable prices. The staff is the absolute best… professional but very personable… provided excellent advice and support when it came to choosing the right fabric, size and fit. And Moose was hilarious!
I could not recommend A Cut Above enough! They make high quality and extremely well fitted shirts that blow the competition out of the water. If you are in the Denver area, be sure to swing by their shop and you can get fitted and tailored for your shirts! I will be a lifelong customer.
I've worn "A cut above" shirts for years. Recently ordered replacements. Somehow I didn't order the shirts with eyelets. The pockets have flaps and overall the quality has alot to be desired. Very different shirts than the past. Please carefully read their return policy as they don't accept returns on laundereddry cleaned items. Overall, thoroughly disappointed. A bad experience. $172 thrown down the drain, extremely poor quality. Customer service offered 20% off next order. I recommend Jets*am. Their shirts are the quality that A cut above used to be.
I share the sentiment of the other recent reviews. A Cut Above was my go to. I do like the quality of the shirts... the problem is the service. Shipping is around $150 alone to Canada, which didn't seem right. Then I realized I need a different shirt and the email responses I am receiving when asking for a return aren't answering my questions. I was just linked to a cancel order form... which is only applicable to orders that have not been shipped? That's not relevant at all, and certainly not helpful.
I’ve been using A Cut Above for along time and it seems like the quality has gone down in the last couple years. The shirt neck sizes have been inconsistent and it’s harder to justify ordering from them. The worst is the tie. I recently ordered a new black tie from them. It has been staining my collars black. Just poor quality control.
I’ve been wearing A Cut Above Pilot shirts and pants for about 8 years now. Slowly overtime I’ve noticed the quality of the shirts has been going down with collars bubbling and seems splitting and ripping out. The first couple of shirts I ordered way back when I wore for two and a half years before they gave up understandable after being worn 4-5 days a week. Now I might get a half year out of a shirt maybe before most of the time the collar bubbles or pills. The other issue as of late is actually getting shirts in a timely manner. I ordered 2 shirts Feb 28 2023 and still have not received my shirts. When asked about when I should be expecting them I was told late April to early May and yet it’s still crickets at this point. I’ll say they still offer the easiest to maintain Pilot shirt but when another company like Jet Seam or Flight Uniform comes out with a similar fabric I’ll be trying it out as A Cut Above no longer seems to care about customers and is only focused on trying to grow out in any direction they can as quick as they can instead of sticking with quality and attention to detail.
I stopped in to get help with sizing on some pilot shirts while my online order was back ordered for eternity. Jackie helped me sort out the sizing on my shirt order and I was even able to take them with me that day instead of having to wait another few months to have them delivered! I’ve ordered shirts from them before but I’d never been to their HQ, and I would highly recommend it if you’re unsure exactly which shirt you want/need.
I’ve always loved the quality of their shirts. I came directly to the store today for a fitting appointment and got amazing help with the perfect fit. Highly recommend A Cut Above.
