This is a beautiful restaurant. From the artwork to the lighting. A great spot for a date. The service was friendly and prompt. And this is, by far, the best food we've had in the area. I had the Baked Walleye. It was flavorful and served with pasta with capers and olives and mussels in the shell. He had the 8-layer lasagna, which was delicious and rich. We had room for dessert and got the Pumpkin/Chocolate Mousse Cake. So good that even though we only had 3 bites left, we took it home. Ha! We'll definitely be back to this little gem in Baldwin.
I really don’t like writing poor reviews, but wanted to share our experience. The place is absolutely stunning, but it doesn’t look like it belongs downtown Baldwin. More of a Traverse City feel. The waitstaff were all very friendly! Menu is limited. Portions were extremely small. We had chicken wings that were so dry and burnt we couldn’t eat them. The sauces served with them were bland. While the pizza was good, it was way overpriced. $19 for basically a personal pan sized pizza. I feel like they won’t make it in this small town.
A fantastic spot for a fantastic bite! We tried the baked walleye, halibut, and the strawberry rhubarb dessert. All was fantastic!! Service was great, and the back patio was perfect today. Absolutely worth the price and then some!
This place is amazing! I went here with my boyfriend and his mom and was so surprised! Worth the price! I’m from traverse city and this restaurant up here would do a killing! The lasagna is bomb! I still can’t stop talking about it! Can’t wait to go back!
Our first experience with this new hidden gem in Baldwin was impressive. Delicious, flavorful food; a fabulous Old Fashioned; and super friendly service. The atmosphere has a stylish "nature meets classy" feel without being overly conservative or too relaxed. We will definitely be returning to explore their menu more.
Food is amazing! Well worth the price. Unfortunately the staff needs better training for this style of restaurant. They need etiquette training on taking orders, clearing tables and keeping customers happy. The chef and is food is exceptional that is what keeps on coming back! 5 stars to the chef!
Chef Glen’s food was amazing. We had the muscles, his roasted cauliflower soup, the burger and beet salad. Would have been 5 stars but… The atmosphere was a little strange. Music not loud enough and decor seemed out of place not a cohesive style. The service was also odd. The staff was too attentive and didn’t allow us to eat our meal in peace. Probably due to not being very busy but made us feel uncomfortable. Food was amazing, but service and atmosphere have opportunities to improve.
Wow! I have no words! I knew walking in that this restaurant was going to be an amazing experience and then to find out this is Chef Glens place. Baldwin is so lucky to have him. The halibut was fantastic and the pork sliders were so yummy. Price point was spot on for this caliber of dining too. WE WILL BE BACK again and again!
Not sure why this didn't pop up with a big yellow/gold restaurant icon on google maps here but this place is a hidden gem! Awesome food and good service. We got the pizza and the New York strip steak and Michigan salad and they were both incredible. Not something that I thought we were going to find up north! World of a difference from Pompeii's Restaurant across the street which the pizza and bread there tasted like cardboard!
A delightful little five star restaurant in a picturesque Western Michigan tourist destination. Superior cuisine at an affordable price. Friendly staff including the owner and a chef took the time out to engage you if you had questions or just wanted to conversate. You're treated like family, and I would highly recommend to everyone. Right next door to a famous ice cream parlor if you choose not to have dessert at the restaurant. Free concerts and other activities all summer long, right in the area. All around wonderful experience. I shall be back!
