They’re only open 2 days a week from 11am to 4pm so make sure that you visit them during that time! They have authentic green tea imported all the way from South Korea and it clearly shows that they really care about their tea and knows their stuff. The owner came out multiple times during our time there to ask how we were enjoying the tea and the sandwiches. Do t get me wrong, they can be a bit pricy but I think the whole experience is well worth it. It takes a bit of an effort to make it out there but it only adds to the charm of the place. I would love to try out their high tea experience next time!
Please check their website and READ through everything. This is not your commercial high tea cafe located on a big street. It's literally located deep inside a park and make reservations online. Very unique experience away from the city life. Just the drive alone is an experience. The food was ok though. The atmosphere and surrounding makes it worth it. The building next door seems to be a wedding venue too!
Outstanding. Being a coffee and big portions guy, I was very pleased how much I enjoyed this afternoon tea. The tea was great and the food was fantastic. We enjoyed every bit. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The setting is surreal and it does not feel like you are anywhere near Vancouver. I even made the mistake of selecting the wrong date and they were more than accommodating making the change to the date that I intended to book.
I've tried their tea set twice and I really liked them. They have a variety of tea sets to choose from and everything is tasty and looks nice Free delivery is a huge plus Highly recommended!!!!
Fun boat up/paddle up destination in Belcarra. Takes about an hour to paddle a kayak over from Deep Cove on a good day. The menu options range from very affordable to quite expensive. I really enjoyed the salmon Cobb salad. Hopefully this place manages to stick around for a while. You can drive out as well but it's a better experience to come by water.
Had a lovely tea with my mother. The view, food and tea were excellent. The staff were also very accommodating - I accidentally made our reservation for the wrong day and they offered to make room for us on the day/time I had intended even though they were technically fully booked.
Definitely recommend to check out this amazing unique restaurant. They serve organic meals which inspired by different kinds of organic green tea. There are also tea goods, organic lip balms, and stuffs. The place was really cozy, bright, and friendly.
My wife was very happy with the little treats we have ordered from 8 Corners for our special occasion.
Our sandwiches were tasty, but we were absolutely SHOCKED to be charged $18 for a very small pot of plain black tea. We saw a cup of tea for $5 on the posted menu. When i ordered that, the waiter asked if we'd like a pot, and thinking it would be a few dollars more like ALL other places we've been to around the world!, we said yes. Unbeknownst to us, on a different page of the menu, it said $18 for this SMALL pot of black tea. This little pot of tea cost almost as much as our two sandwiches $18 for tea, $20 for TWO sandwiches. Never again! Sadly, it ruined what would have been a nice experience. They should have the price per pot directly underneath the price per cup, at the very least. WE have had many, many pots of tea, including organic, in our travels. Never, never, never been charged $18. Crazy! It made us not want to go back.
No question asked .. solid 5 stars in all aspects .. From the tranquil setting to the exquisite pastries, open face sandwiches, organic teas and the outstanding service!! Kudos to the young gentleman who we had the pleasure of dealing with this lovely afternoon .. since it was our first time .. he took the time to explain the menu and made suggestions .. our party of 5 enjoyed immensely and was able to try out a bit of everything! .. after seeing their post on Facebook we decided to take a drive out .. at first we thought we had entered an unauthorized driveway as we had to pass a service road unpaved .. upon making the last turn we saw a wide open plain with tiny white flowers all over the grounds .. come explore the space and enjoy the organic teas & hand crafted confections do try out their Japanese inspired Anko Confections! Call ahead if you wanted to reserve specific items as they are all made in-house in a very limited number!!
