Welcome to 7 Monks Taproom in beautiful Traverse City, MI!

Story

Why the name, 7 Monks Taproom?

Trappist beer are ales brewed by or under control of Trappist monks. Yes, we said monks. There were a total of 174 Trappist monasteries worldwide (as of April 2011); only seven (six in Belgium and one in the Netherlands) produced Trappist beer and were authorized to label their beers with the Authentic Trappist Product logo. Hence the name during 2011 when we first opened.

We love beer. Our beer flows from 46 taps and our ever-changing bottled beer selection. We consistently serve seasonal craft beers from Michigan and around the world.

Come try our food...it's delicious and a lot of it is local! Oh, we also have wine, cider, and local mead on tap.

Very chicken sandwich. Good beer selection. We sat outside. Ordered our food through the app and they brought it out. It’s pretty convenient. Service was good.

Ok 7Monks I see you!! Delicious menu options and easy to order from the outside seating. Tons of beers and drinks to choose from with quick and kind service! Fair prices and a nice location only a few blocks from the bay, which you’ll need to walk to digest this deliciousness. Cheers!
Came in for a drink and appetizer. We got the poutine fries with bacon. So delicious! Will be back again!
Awesome fried chicken sandwich. Good beer selection. Ended the night with an Old Fashioned which was the only meh moment of the night.
The best popcorn! Kind of a small menu for food and cocktails, although they do have so good liquor and beer options. Nice place to hang out at the bar and have a couple drinks!
The food here is incredibly delicious. I had the Monk & Cheese, my son had the fried chicken sandwich. A higher quality than I would typically expect from a bar environment. The server was incredibly friendly. A great time.

Wooow absolutely incredible! They had strawberry daiquiri on tap which was amazing, and their beet salad/grilled chicken and sweet potato fries were unbeatable. Wish we lived closer to visit more frequently!
