They don't display their food prices except for taquitos and big bite hot dogs. Not cool considering the store is leaving people wondering what they have to pay for their food until they get to the till. They did have a flat screen TV which was on repeat for wing Wednesday but no food prices were being displayed other than that. No food prices for chicken, Jamaican patties, or any of the other food stuffs they sell in the warming trays.
Kinda of concerned about the employees that work here.nNot anyone specific or what exactly the issue is.nBack story:nLast week a got a call from a friend's 2 teen girls asking me if I was close and if I could bring narcan as there was a man worried about his friend that had OD'd beside the store. I directed them to call 911 and the teen reported that no one was going to after she asked them she called me on messanger, doesn't have a number herself so I whip over there, to fortunately find that the person who was dieing was brought back with CPR. I gave them a narcan kit and took the teens home.nFast forward to today: I stop in to grab drinks with my small daughter before dropping her off at my sister's. As I walk in, I take note that there is a boy looks to be about 7 sitting in front of the store, playing with an empty hubba bubba package. I figured, SURLY this child's mother is close by. I grab our drinks and pay. While walking out of the store, I noticed what looked like the manager following this same young boy around the store. Not to help him, but to make sure he didn't take anything.nI stop and asked her where his mother is and she said she didn't know. I asked him where his mother is and he was next to non verbal and I would assume special needs.nI asked her, why don't you call the police??nShe points out the wondow as to show me the police were parked in the lot rigjt next to the building.nI ask if they already knew about him and she said no.nI walked out with the small boy, my daughter with my hands full, trying to wave down police for help. And she quickly closes the door behind me and tells me to do it.nI don't know what the issue is with thos establishment... why in an emergency will they not call police for help?nA lost boy or someone dead, and they could care less.nMakes me sick.
Always a mass amount of people strung out of their minds outside near the garbage bins, and the floors are sticky regardless of where you stand, I'm saying there is too much soap in the mixture they were the floors with, and would suggest just using a little bleach mixed with water to get a cleaner feel and smell. Overall the place was fine, the staff was friendly, and seemed like they enjoyed their jobs.
Update since it's been a few yrs.nThings have only gotten steadily worse I truly believe a lot of the issue at this particular 7-Eleven is the staff. They refuse to post policies that they say they have... and honestly you're 7-Eleven just put some wiper fluid in the squeegee buckets ! Seriously do better than just water !nnHonestly 7-Elevens have gone down the hill so bad that I do not want to go to another one ever again! The customer service at any 7-Eleven especially this one is garbage! I've been using 7-Elevens for years and I've only used them after moving to Calgary never again ever will I go to another 7-Eleven!
This store after dark is very intimidating. There's homeless people everywhere that come right up to u asking for change. As a woman I won't be going there after dark again!!!!
