Everyone has been so nice in this court house. The clerks are really nice as well. I was really nervous about my charge. She noticed how afraid I was and she told me "just breathe" .... I took her advice. She didn't have to even do that. That was nice of her. A little about my story: My license has been suspended for 11 years due to Driver's Responsibility Fees that accumulated that I couldn't pay and also had 2 tickets at the 53rd district court (The one I'm reviewing) .... My tickets got dismissed automatically but my warrants still remained and so did my misdemeanor charge of Driving While License Suspended. . Fortunately for me I never got to see the judge I had to see, I spoke to a wonderful prosecutor. I forgot her name but she had long gorgeous blonde hair. . I will never forget this lady, she saved my life and she doesn't even known it. . I doubt she'd ever read this.... But if she does.... Thank you, I can now be with my family again, I can drive again and go to work again. God bless you. I am forever grateful for your decision. . Not a lot of judges / prosecutors understand that their decisions can make someone's life.... or break it. God bless.

This place is a JOKE!!!! Rating 1 star is too Generous. Just have to Rate to Review. Livingston County is Money hungry, all they care about is Money. Never prepared, it's a mad house in the court room. I've only been to be there for someone, and It's so chaotic! They have no idea where some files are, what case they have in front of them. Attorneys and Prosecutors never have the same info, never on the same page. A lot of Attorneys have to dismiss the case for a few minutes so they can get all the facts right with the Prosecutors. The Prosecutors talk to people like animals, they have no Respect for anyone even people just there in the seats! Doesn't matter the person. People sit there for hours just waiting on a piece of paper. Some of the Officers there are arrogant and extremely rude! My jaw just hits the floor everytime I'm there! I'm just in shock how bad it is. One officer got SO excited when the judge was getting ready to have someone incarcerated, it was way over dramatic. Very scary that a lot of people's future/lives sit in this courts hands! 😨

Kangaroo court. I was there when my ex was on trial for a DUI. All the prosecutor wanted to do was talk about that I was wearing a sparkly shirt? 1. I wasn't the one on trial. 2. What I wore had NO bearing on his case. The funny thing is she was saying all this while parading around the court in skin tight pants and very visible panty lines (you could see they did not fit her.) It wasn't justice, it was a joke.

I feel the judges are to lenient on those whom come before them. Without questioning on the circumstances. I seen on person walk in that didn’t show up for court plus they failed to drug test and this was a person going in front of a judge for 2 Felony counts & 1 Misdemeanor and The judge was going to let him walk. Until someone spoke up and stated the obvious that this person needed jail to become sober. The courts need more programs for families dealing with Mental Health and Drug abuse. Not just Jail time or Prison they need to help these imperfect people get back to their lives without allowing everyone turning them into a MDOC number! Just a thought are system is broken. One sad 😢 parent.

I enjoy going out to Howell, because the two judges are very fair to my clients. I am usually out there on MIP, Retail Fraud and DUI cases. My clients follow my proactive program, and the prosecutors and judges are able to see my client for more than the police report provided to them. My program humanizes the client, changing the story of their case from one day, which has allowed past clients to earn great results in this court.
