Food was delicious. Flavorful. We had the grilled Brie and I would recommend that one to everyone. My husband had the sea bass which was great! I had the ribeye with vegetables and the taste was awesome. The only thing I’d suggest is less herb butter on top of the steak. There was way too much.
We stopped by the restaurant for dinner on Saturday night. Unfortunately all of the tables were booked so we ate at the bar which worked out well. The bartender was friendly and took care of all of our needs. We had the Mac & Cheese with Chicken $20 and the Vodka Penne with Chicken & Prosciutto $18. The food was very good and the portion sizes were large. Parking was convenient in the parking lot next to the restaurant.
I'm going to break this review down because so much went so right and just a couple things were a bit off to hold back the five star I love giving. Quickly though- wonderful location and atmosphere for an adult outing, great menu, awesome portions, fair price. Staff Super attentive staff who answered questions and made a great recommendation on the Whipped Feta app- absolutely delicious! Ambience We really, really enjoyed the quiet space and no wait on Saturday evening. Bathroom mostly clean but lights out always created a sketchy vibe Menu I always enjoy reading through a creative menu and 523 has got it all whether you're looking for a salad or a soup or a steak or a slow-down-and-chat app! I wanted to try so many different things! Kitchen Execution Plum Tasty Burger for me, ordered medium but received something not-quite-well done and hardly any plum sauce. I definitely enjoyed that goat cheese topper though! Nearly-well for the peppered filet for my wife that was ordered at medium, and smothered in pretty much raw onions that she hadn't requested at all. Ultimately, I'd like to give 5, but execution lacked tonight even if the concepts are all *phenomenal* ideals. We will be back because this menu is SUPER creative for the area and we loved the quiet, slower atmosphere so much. I honestly think 523 may have the vision to be a major downtown Main Street draw but the kitchen needs to nail the menu and approach every time for that to happen.
This is an excellent restaurant. Not many places can get a filet well done without burning the outside. These guys did and it is the best steak I've had in years. Everything was clean, staff was perfect. It was a little loud. But overall excellent!
Great food and service. Rachel was our server and made sure every request was accommodated. Everyone loved their meal. I had the salmon blackened and really enjoyed it. Simple but delicious. Cannot say enough about Rachel’s charisma and taking our experience here to the next level. Definitely will come back!
Great place! Our server Amber was great!! Very attentive! It appears everyone was willing to help. Great atmosphere! The food was Da Bomb I ordered the clam chowder which was chocked full of clam and potatoes. I also ordered the Saganaki fried cheese awesome! I also ordered a spicy shrimp dish which I couldn't enjoy. They fried the shrimp and then covered it with a spicy cream sauce. Unfortunately, while the shrimp was hot, the cream sauce was cold. So, I sent it back to get warmed up. I ordered a side of rice, when it came it was mushy‍. Hope it reheats good!! Shrimp not the rice My friend ordered the filet mignon which she said Melted In Her Mouth!!
Went there last night 10/11/22 for my b-day with the kids. I am a foodie so I went crazy with the apps and such. All the food was amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant. We were all stuffed. I want the Portabella soup recipe. Service was great as well. Make sure to go here!! Thank you for a wonderful dinner with my family.
Amazing place! The blackened salmon was great every bite and flavorful. The place was Sophisticated yet laid-back I enjoyed to combination of both that and the bloody Maria. It was a great dinner
Hostess was the best. She fit us in when no reservation were available. Our waitress was also awesome, she went at our pace…did not rush us. Great place. Definitely will come back.
Rachel made the night! I can't say how much having incredible service puts the finishing touch on amazing food. We tried both the mushroom and clam chowder soup....couldn't tell you which one was better because both imposed a will on our taste buds we fought over eating the last spoonful. The "Bulldog" porkchop melted in your mouth, while the salmon cakes offered crispy texture with a pop of flavor. The combination of spices were the right amount and complimented the zucchini squash noodles. I say order the house Old Fashion to pair with the "flaming cheese". We never had to ask for a single thing from our waitress, Rachel, but never felt intrudered on at the wrong moments. Can't wait to try the next set of menu items 523 has on their menu.
