5 Mile Corner

I am from the US. I bought gas there twice this August 2017 at 5 mile corner. I filled 2- 5 US gallon fuel containers. I thought the price was high but did not check gallons to liters. On both occasions they wrote down the fuel on a list inside the store. I converted liters to gallons when I got home. To my surprise on the first trip there with 2 US five gallon containers I bought 13 US gallons of fuel. On the second fill of the 2 US five gallons containers they only held close to 12 US gallons. Is this a container anomaly, or is the reason the fuel is written on a list in the store to verify what is really sold. I bought fuel at a different location in Sioux Lookout in the summer of 2016 and they also wrote down the fuel on a separate list. I bought fuel in Fort Frances and Dryden, Ontario and they don't have a separate list inside for fuel purchases. Is this something just especially for Sioux Lookout, Ontario.

Full service gas station. Good coffee. Usually cheapest gas in Sioux Lookout. Friendly staff.
