I found the service to be prompt, courteous, efficient and very professional. The technicians worked logically to diagnose our blocked drains which turned out to be caused by tree roots clogging the old sewer pipes outside. They kept a cost conscious approach and had all the latest in technology right on hand. We would not hesitate to use them again or to provide an excellent recommendation.

Called Fireside heating to come and fix water heater because it kept shutting off, and we had to re-light the pilot several times. When the technician arrived, he started the pilot light (which was something we were capable of doing ourselves), stated there was nothing wrong with the unit, charged me $135, and left. The water heater continued to malfunction. After noting the incompetence of the technician and his rude personality, I opted not to call them back and bring him back into my home. A friend (who is not an HVAC technician), was able to do some internet research and replace a small, relatively inexpensive part (called the thermo-coupler) which resolved the issue. I called Fireside and requested a refund (or at least a partial refund) for mis-diagnosing the problem and charging me a high price for not fixing anything. The customer service on the phone was poor, they denied any wrong-doing, and refused to offer any type of refund. I wish I could have my $135 back, but I can't, so the next best option is to publicize my very negative experience with this company, and hopefully prevent someone else from getting ripped off by incompetent technicians and rude customer service.
