Not impressed by their food, ordered the white wine mushroom cream pasta for takeout. There was one small scoop of sauce on the bottom of the container very bland & not mixed in so most of the noodles were plain and all stuck together, they used canned mushrooms in the sauce which was a big disappointment coming from a restaurant especially for the price and chicken was alright, super dry and chewy with the exception of a few pieces that were good chicken was the only thing actually seasoned throughout the dish and wasn’t bland. I normally don’t leave reviews on restaurants unless they’re good but I’ve tried a few menu items now and haven’t had a good one yet.
Great Food, Awesome staff! Highly recommended this restaurant! Food was great and in big portion. Smoked burger was tasty and ShishTawouk for the win! Friendly and approachable staff and cool ambiance too!
I had Some work to do in Loydminister and Wainwright was not on my list to go to But I have remembered the the story about a guy that was giving free stakes to truckers when the Covid hit and everyone was backing down this guy Stood up. Besides great food hospitality was a bonus. Washrooms are clean, staff friendly and selection of drinks amazing.Pricing if fair. If you are looking for Genuine experience with hard-working and friendly true Canadian staff don’t be afraid to stretch your journey for a few extra miles. It will definitely be worth your dime. Will be back for sure.
In town for work, the whole crew enjoyed the food, they had a violinist in playing music, classical rock you name it very cool. Hands down the best prime rib dinner I've ever eaten in a restaurant. Servers were great and the owner was very welcoming.
Service was incredible, the staff were so friendly and the food was delicious! Very family friendly and would recommend!
I’d give it a 2.5 if I could Ordered a steak salad with shrimp. Steak was cooked to shoe leather & same with the shrimp. Per the owners reply I wasn’t charged for it - I also don’t make a habit of complaining. When I was asked how everything was, I was honest and aside and to my surprise it was taken care of. I was offered a replacement but after the initial experience I just wanted to leave. As for it being crowded - there were exactly two people in the restaurant at the time other than myself.
Not a good overall experience. We asked for water right away for the kids but it took until the meal came out for the other drinks to come and they completely forgot to order our appetizer. Looks nice but they definitely need to work on training the servers more. Food was ok.
What wonderful service. Food was great! We had a steak salad and fettuccine Alfredo. Beer was ice cold!! Nice music in the background. Such a nice lunch with my daughter.
Excellent food and great service on a very busy night. We came for the 3rd Anniversary Pig Roast and it didn't disapoint. The atmosphere was lively and very friendly we had a great evening and highly recommend 1979 for a great night out! & if you are thinking about hosting a pig roast Darko is definitely your guy it was cooked to perfection!!
