Very good dumpling restaurant that offers the broth filled xiao long bao. Pretty sure that eating in place would have been better but pandemic said otherwise. The dumplings must not touch each other while in transit because it destroys the experience of having an explosion of both flavour and warm broth in your mouth. Otherwise, very good and great choice of different kinds of dumpling. Made fresh so call in advance to order.
Finally a soup dumpling restaurant in the west island that is on par to the downtown ones. The food is great, you can taste the dumplings are hand made. The other dumpling restaurant you can taste it was frozen. only reason I took out one star is that the restaurant is small and only has 4 tables so be aware to stand in line or eat quickly.
I was very excited to find a restaurant that offered vegetarian dumplings. I've missed xiao long bao! Free parking outside. Cute decor. The Shanghai noodles were good, but a little overseasoned. The lamb and parsley fried dumplings and the pork and cabbage xiao long bao were much appreciated by my family. The dumplings were a good size. My mother especially liked the pork, shrimp, and cabbage xiao long bao because the broth was most flavourful. The vegetarian ones were filled with cabbage, mushroom, and vermicelli. They were ok. I think Chinese dumplings just need the fat from pork or lamb. We didn't need to wait for a table on a weekday evening, but I understand what the other reviewers meant when they were upset with the service. The female owner, who provided table service, was rather apathetic. She didn't welcome guests, she never checked up on our table which was annoying when we wanted something and couldn't get her attention, and she had her back turned to us the rest of the evening once her friends arrived for a visit. The only time we really interacted was when we asked for the check and she told us to go to her to pay in the front which is fine as long as you tell customers ahead of time. Customer service definitely needs to be improved.
The Xiao Long Bao soup dumplings did not have any soup in them which was very disappointing. The Shanghai noodles lacked flavour and was also disappointing. The fried dumplings were actually well done. Flavourful and a bit crispy. If I have cravings for fried dumplings, this place would be alright.
Every kind of soup dumpling has different favor and so delicious. Good service and reasonable prices.
Great place to get your soup dumpling fix without having to go downtown!! Servers are nice and the service does not take as long as in Sammi Soupe, whose servers by the way sometime serve you with lamb and insist its pork when you tell them! Dumplings are flavourful and juicy. The must trys are: anything with coriander and pork with brown sugar. The dumplings with mushrooms or leek and shrimp are great too! The place is very small so you should come on nonbusy days/hours to avoid waiting. The murale is cool too!
Restaurant is clean and neat. The soup dumplings are made to order. The pot stickers are good, but the soup dumplings Xiao Long Baoare inconsistent. The taste and seasoning is good, but some were broken on arrival.
Amazing dumplings! And the bubble tea is good too. The service was so so but the food and cozy/cute place make up for it. An awesome find for the West Island!
This place was quite a surprise. It tasted great. Not a good as downtown stores but this place has parking and takes credit card. The Shanghai noodles was nice to taste too. Also they have quite a good selection of Xiao Long Bao. The decor is also super nice and clean. The tables are old style Chinese like the 1930's. The place is small. And we didn't have to wait that long for the food.
Authentic dumplings, great decor. Table service is a bit slow, so takeout is a good option.
