We said we had 9. We went on an adventure to our table at the very back corner. Which was nice. A challenge before the meal. Food was great. Got the Bison Burger. I did not really taste anything different. It is tougher though. Fries and poutine are great.Food: 4/5
We went here on Canada Day, and it was a 10 minute wait for us to get seated. The place was packed, but so was everything as well. Staff is great, very friendly and awesome. We ordered half nachos for the two of us, and the portion is simply gigantic. Like really huge, both of us together could finish maybe half of it. Also tried a few beers, and the bluebeary one from Trans Canada brewery was fantastic.
The interior is warmly decorated with wood paneling. The food was tasty, hot and attractive. I had the same meal twice two nights in a row- Manitoba Pickerel, because it was so good!Food: 4/5
My family tried out all of the popular restaurants in Wasagaming while on our vacation, but 1929 was the place we kept going back to. We were served by multiple different waiters over the course of our several meals there, and all of them were extremely kind and helpful. My family tried the steak sandwich, ravioli, cobb salad soo many toppings!!!, chicken sandwich best crispy chicken sandwich we’ve had, hangover soup super comforting, nachos 1/2 order is a great size for 4… it’s still massive, and several of their cocktails strawberry margarita, banana Bailey colada, & pina colada. We were surprised by how much we thoroughly enjoyed every dish we tried! Highly recommend giving this spot a try.
Sitting out front here is lovely - get a flatbread pizza and a beer good local selection as you take in the action on the wasagaming main strip. Pastas are pretty good as well. There’s some nice big trees out front too. The inside feels a bit dark to meFood: 4/5
1929 was an excellent experience. We ate on the patio where they accommodated our larger than standard table group. Our server, Evan, was fantastic from start to finish. He was quick to take our orders and bring our drinks with regular check ins for refills or anything we might need. All of our orders were handled perfectly and of course the nachos were plentiful and well-topped. I'd actually have given Evan a 6 out of 5 Stars here if that were possible. If you're stopping by this season, ask for Evan. Dietary restrictions: My daughter has a serious food allergy and they accommodated her without issue.
We ate here after a day in the surf and sun and were pleasantly surprised how many of our dishes were hits. We sampled different things from appetizers to entrees and all of them were excellent. Definitely worth a look if your tastes run traditional - or more to the eclectic!
I come to this restaurant every summer specifically for the nachos. They are amazing. This is the half order Greek nachos, pesto, hummus, feta, exquisite. Simply a must try! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options a plenty
Service by Ella - first rate! Food good. Priced very reasonably. My spicy shrimp in marinara fettuccine was ok but drowning in sauce. Less is better. All in all, a great experience.Food: 4/5
We tried the Sasquatch, crispy chicken and bacon cheese burger. All were amazing! Sides were upgraded to sweet potato and onion rings which were deep fried to perfection. Service is helpful and polite but very slow due to how busy they are. Overall, it’s worth the wait!
