19 is a place where younger, local LGBTQ members gather to socialize, play pool, darts and find a sense of community. Everyone is accepted. The bartenders are friendly and fast. The bar offers small frozen pizzas and chips to go with your drinks. There is a smoking area in the back of the bar but most people stay inside. It's not fancy, but it is a place where a marginalized group can congregate safely. There are really nice young people there who just want to go out and decompress.
Casual dimly lit bar. This is a gay bar where you can talk to someone without yelling. And actually chat with people who are open to new faces. Friendly atmosphere!
Great place for a drink.., The drinks are great with price's for everyone's pocket... A game of pool,,,, a game of dart's... . with a back patio to sit and have a beer or relax.... My girlfriend and I enjoy the 19.... Patrons and staff are great, easy going in all aspects.. . . Thanks 19
This bar is very prejudice toward people of color. I come here from time to time, and whenever they find a chance; they police us, they monitor us, and are quite rude. I notice how they treat us compared to others. And honestly they dont exude a welcoming aura. The bar is dark, the patio is not complete, but to top it all off, they treat their customers too poorly.
Great place for a drink and a casual conversation. Few things to keep in mind: - cash only ATM available - darts and pool - pizza served at bar - bonus space is opened when it gets busy - back patio for smoking - historically a gay bar, but open to all
Stopped by not knowing anything about the bar and I discovered a friendly, pleasant and inviting bar. People who we met here were all locals and were very friendly. Cheap drinks. A bit subdued but enjoyable. Will be back. Bartender was a cool guy. Loved him!
As a very much so not local, I felt comfortable and welcomed here. Great looking crowd, all I saw were great attitudes. Strong pours, good prices. Seems to be well-managed. At least well-ran. I’d recommend to any curious passerby. Food smelt great, though I didn’t try it: I’ll be back. HEY LADIES, LOTS OF US, TOO!
Lost my bag here the other night, and of course someone stole it. The bar tenders were no help with finding my bag or checking the cameras. It's the least they could have done. Why do people even steal anymore!!
Modest, small bar. But friendly and cheap. My go-to neighborhood bar in Minneapolis. It's been around since the 1950's. That says a lot about safe space and camaraderie. Some nights it's Standing Room Only and the staff can be overwhelmed. Give 'em some slack and you'll enjoy the buzz of a nice little bar that is one of the last authentic places in the Loring Park neighborhood of Minneapolis.
Fun, neighborhood gay bar. If you want a stiff drink for a fraction of the price, this is your place. The dart boards and pool tables are a big draw and great patios for the summer. Nice mix of people here, people are friendly and lacks the pretention of other gay bars. Bartenders are really friendly. One of my favorite places!
