Surprised at the silly comments about 1880 town. No, it was not a real town. If you read the plaques and the guide, all buildings are from other old west towns that were carefully moved here. Very historical, very neat stop. Kids love it. Great place to stop for lunch .... we usually eat in our RV ... and then walk around the town. TONS of historical items and history here....just take a sec and read what's there.

Very neat 1880s town. Examples of buildings that are period specific. Build g materials are accurate. Out front is a gas station and convenient store for the highway travelers. Midway is an old round barn with gift shop and museum which also serves as the entrance to the town. Beside the round barn is a small restaurant in an old train with a kitchen car, dining cars and luggage cars. Very cool.

Cool place! They moved original old buildings and placed them to make a really cool 1880 town. The diner is a South Dakota train converted with really good food and friendly service. It was very hot the day we went and Otis the camel was laid out in the field not interested in the popcorn. I loved the history and tried to imagine the lives of the people who originally lived in the buildings.

This is a fun and well-preserved town set in the late-1800s. It was highly informative and interesting. The saloon was the BEST part. The animals were fun to visit too. Overall, I think it was a worthwhile stop. Not too expensive either. In season, they have old school clothes you can rent and wear around the park. There is also a 50's train diner you can eat at during the summer season.

Loved the experience and got some wonderful pictures! Thank you for the wonderful experience. We didn't get to do everything as we were still 5 hours from home, but we plan on going back and can't wait. Wonderful staff and a good time for the kids too.
