Sustainable Food Expertly Prepared
Named after the year that both the City of Oberlin and Oberlin College were founded by John Jay Shipherd and Philo P. Stewart, 1833 is centered around the people who grow food for themselves, their friends, neighbors and the larger community. 1833 features small plates and social fare simply prepared as the "perfect bite". Executive Chef Jim Barnhart has created socially driven menus which offer heightened awareness and are sourced from partnering with local farmers who share the importance of their story through the thought and care put in our food.
We look forward to welcoming you to our table at 1833. For more information or to request reservations please email us at [email protected] or visit us on Open Table.
