Tonite I went into the hospital, because I tripped from uneven ground that had a LG divet in it. My ankle hurt so bad, I arrived around 3pm. Paul who was doing triage, was great. He was nice, caring and so so funny. He had me laughing! All the staff were fantastic there, I thought he was my type as well. So please call me , if you can get my number. Thanks.to all the other hospital staff
Went in with severe low back pain I couldn’t even walk. Was treated warmly at reception, then immediately triaged by a kind nurse. During my short wait to see the doctor, the nurses were kind and empathetic. The doctor was so warm and nice, and his treatment provided immediate relief to my pain. Overall, I felt better treated here than in the Lower Mainland ER I’ve been to.
The nurses in emergency will not talk to you after 730pm unless you press a button. There is a sign with instructions on were to go and it never mentions a button. The nurse said the lack of clear instructions and the fact i waited an hour and a half befor the cleaning lady showed me the hidden button didnt matter because i only have an ear infection. The guy that walked in at the same time as me left befor i even seen a nurse. Other than the hidden button the doctor was pleasent and sorted me out quick.
I am really glad I went to this hospital 2 weeks ago....as I was less than 70 % lung capacity with asthma and dealing with double pneumonia. If I had waited any longer, my family would have been planning my funeral. I received excellent care while there, including the after care for returning home. I am super thankful to the nurses, my now new family doctor and the cooks on site. I was taken into the ER immediately upon arrival as I was having a severe asthma attack, and hooked up to the oxygen tank and tests were done asap. I was in rough shape and did not think it was that bad. The nurses scolded me for waiting so long. Next time, I know where to go when I am having complications
Coming from the lower mainland, the level of attention I got here was far greater and faster then any I've seen.nThe nurses were empathetic and not condescending, the Drs were humorous and compassionate.nI was told what would happen to me, why it would happen, what the issue they thought was and test results.nEvery hospital I've been too in the lower mainland always rushes you out without so much as a clear understanding and you don't know the stark contrast unill you get actual care. For the first time since all my illness's began , I felt seen, heard, and like everyone genuinely wanted to help me. If I could give everyone a hug I would. I now feel I have a proper direction to go when I see my normal GP which brings a tear to my eye. Thank you from the bottom of my heart
